Overview

ADG2 is an investigational **monoclonal antibody** against coronaviruses originally developed by Adimab and further developed by Adagio Therapeutics for the prevention and treatment of COVID-19 and related SARS-like coronavirus infections. It binds a highly conserved epitope within the receptor-binding domain of the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein that overlaps the human ACE2 interaction site, thereby neutralizing viral entry. Preclinical data described potent and broad activity against SARS-CoV, SARS-CoV-2 including early variants of concern, and pre-emergent SARS-like coronaviruses, with very high in vitro potency and protective activity in mouse challenge models. ADG2 is the parent non-half-life-extended antibody from which the half-life-extended clinical candidate ADG20 was derived.
