Adhexil

**Adhexil** was an investigational, human fibrin-based surgical adhesion-prevention kit developed by Omrix Biopharmaceuticals for use after gynecologic surgery involving the ovaries. The product supplied separate sterile human thrombin and fibrinogen-containing biologically active component solutions with a laparoscopic applicator; upon application, thrombin converts fibrinogen to a stable fibrin clot that forms a smooth, absorbable physical barrier over injured tissue surfaces, intended to reduce postoperative adhesion formation.
