Overview

ADI-36121 is a human monoclonal antibody being developed by Mapp Biopharmaceutical and its commercial arm LeafBio, in collaboration with Adimab, for the prevention (prophylaxis) of Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever (CCHF). Originally isolated from a CCHF-convalescent human donor, ADI-36121 potently neutralizes Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever virus (CCHFV) by binding to the domain II base of the viral envelope glycoprotein Gc. This binding blocks Gc homotrimerization in the endosome, thereby preventing viral-host membrane fusion and entry. ADI-36121 is currently in preclinical development as a lead candidate for intramuscular administration.
