Overview

Autologous adipose-derived stem cells (ADSCs) are a population of multipotent mesenchymal stem cells derived from fat tissue, currently being investigated by Xuzhou Medical University for facial rejuvenation and the treatment of skin aging. The therapy involves harvesting a patient's own fat cells via liposuction, isolating the stem cell fraction, and injecting them into specific facial areas. ADSCs are thought to exert their effects through paracrine mechanisms, secreting various growth factors and cytokines that stimulate resident dermal fibroblasts to produce collagen and elastin. This process aims to restore the dermal microenvironment, improve skin texture, and reduce the visible signs of aging by enhancing tissue regeneration and angiogenesis.
