Overview

Adipose-derived stromal vascular fraction (AD-SVF) is an autologous cell-based therapy developed by The Affiliated Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital of Nanjing University Medical School for the treatment of female infertility associated with thin endometrium and intrauterine adhesions (IUA). AD-SVF is a heterogeneous population of cells—including adipose-derived stem cells (ADSCs), endothelial progenitor cells, and pericytes—isolated from a patient's own adipose tissue via lipoaspiration and enzymatic digestion. When administered via intrauterine infusion, these cells promote endometrial regeneration and angiogenesis through paracrine signaling and potential differentiation, aiming to restore the thickness and functionality of the endometrial lining in patients with refractory conditions like Asherman's syndrome.
