Adipose mesenchymal stem cell-derived exosomes (ADSC-exos or ASC-exos) are nanoscale extracellular vesicles secreted by mesenchymal stem cells isolated from adipose (fat) tissue. These exosomes act as mediators of intercellular communication and carry proteins, lipids, and nucleic acids that influence various biological processes. They have demonstrated regenerative properties in preclinical models by promoting angiogenesis (formation of new blood vessels), enhancing tissue repair and regeneration, modulating inflammation, stimulating autophagy and re-epithelialization in wound healing models, and influencing tumor microenvironments. Mechanistically, they exert effects through pathways such as VEGF/VEGF-R signaling for angiogenesis and Wnt/β-catenin signaling for cellular proliferation/migration. Clinical trials are ongoing to evaluate their therapeutic potential in diseases including chronic wounds and cancer[1][2][3][4][5].
