Adipose stromal vascular components + extracellular matrix gel is an autologous, cell-based therapeutic product derived from human adipose (fat) tissue. It is produced by mechanically processing lipoaspirate to yield a mixture containing the stromal vascular fraction (SVF)—a heterogeneous population of cells including adipose-derived stem cells (ASCs), endothelial cells, pericytes, and immune cells—embedded within native adipose-derived extracellular matrix (ECM). This injectable gel leverages both the regenerative cellular potential of SVF and the structural and bioactive properties of ECM. The mechanism involves promoting tissue repair through enhanced angiogenesis, collagen synthesis, immunomodulation, and support for multipotent differentiation. Clinically investigated primarily for wound healing—including chronic wounds and skin ulcers—the therapy has demonstrated superior outcomes compared to isolated cell suspensions or conventional fat grafting in preclinical models and early clinical studies[1][2][6]. The preparation is minimally invasive as it uses autologous tissue harvested via liposuction.
