Admatel-H

Admatel-H is a fixed-dose combination tablet marketed by Admac Pharma (Admac Lifesciences) for the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure). It contains two active pharmaceutical ingredients: telmisartan, an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB), and hydrochlorothiazide, a thiazide diuretic. Telmisartan works by selectively blocking the binding of angiotensin II to the AT1 receptor in vascular smooth muscle and the adrenal gland, leading to vasodilation and reduced blood pressure. Hydrochlorothiazide acts on the renal distal convoluted tubules to inhibit sodium and chloride reabsorption, promoting diuresis and reducing plasma volume. Together, these complementary mechanisms provide synergistic blood pressure reduction in patients whose hypertension is not adequately controlled by monotherapy.
