Overview

ADMERCIN is an antimicrobial peptide (AMP) technology developed by S2Medical AB (S2M). It is designed as a truncated peptide that acts as an 'Electroselective Dispersant' targeting bacterial membranes. The technology is specifically engineered to combat antimicrobial-resistant (AMR) infections, including ESKAPE pathogens (Enterococcus faecium, Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Acinetobacter baumannii, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Enterobacter spp.). ADMERCIN is intended for use in treating chronic and acute wound infections, dermatological conditions, and nosocomial infections involving multidrug-resistant (MDR) or carbapenem-resistant strains. It is currently in the preclinical stage, positioned for co-development or licensing to facilitate clinical translation.
