Adnab-9

Adnab-9 is a monoclonal antibody that recognizes the p87 antigen, a biomarker associated with colonic adenomas and various gastrointestinal (GI) cancers, including colorectal, gastric, and pancreatic cancers. Developed by researchers at the Philadelphia VA Medical Center in collaboration with Clinical Genomics, the antibody is primarily used in diagnostic assays, such as the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), to detect shed p87 antigen in serum and stool samples. Adnab-9 serves as a potential pan-GI biomarker for the early detection and prognosis of gastrointestinal malignancies, aiming to provide a non-invasive screening method for identifying pre-malignant lesions and early-stage cancer.
