Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination therapy consisting of ado-trastuzumab emtansine (T-DM1) and pertuzumab for the treatment of HER2-positive breast cancer. Ado-trastuzumab emtansine is an antibody-drug conjugate that combines the anti-HER2 antibody trastuzumab with the cytotoxic agent DM1 (a derivative of maytansine), while pertuzumab is a HER2-targeted monoclonal antibody that binds to a different site on the HER2 receptor, blocking HER2/HER3 heterodimerization. This combination leverages dual HER2-targeting mechanisms while delivering chemotherapy directly to tumor cells.
