Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Adofeed Pap is a transdermal patch formulation of fentanyl, a potent synthetic opioid analgesic developed by Lead Chemical. It is indicated for the management of moderate to severe chronic pain, including cancer-related pain, in patients who require continuous, around-the-clock opioid administration. Fentanyl acts primarily as an agonist at the mu-opioid receptor in the central nervous system, inhibiting ascending pain pathways and altering the perception of and response to pain. The transdermal delivery system provides sustained release of the medication, typically over a 72-hour period, offering a non-invasive alternative for long-term pain management.
