Overview

ADP-1 is a postbiotic ingredient, specifically an inactivated form of the probiotic bacteria *Lactobacillus paracasei*. Developed by USANA Health Sciences, it is incorporated into oral care products, such as toothpaste, to promote oral health. Its mechanism of action involves inhibiting the adhesion of caries-causing bacteria, preventing dental plaque formation, and reducing the growth of *Streptococcus mutans*. ADP-1 also works to balance the oral microbiome and lower inflammation to protect gums, contributing to overall oral hygiene and a longer-lasting clean.
