Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ADP037-ABC is a proprietary anti-amyloid beta (Aβ) monoclonal antibody developed by Alector for the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease. It is paired with Alector’s ABC (Alector Brain Carrier) technology to enhance delivery across the blood-brain barrier and enable subcutaneous administration. The drug targets a validated epitope specific to brain amyloid plaques and features an optimized antibody constant region designed to enhance phagocytosis of Aβ plaques. Its mechanism aims to efficiently clear amyloid beta from the brain, reduce plaque accumulation, slow disease progression in Alzheimer’s disease, and minimize the risk of amyloid-related imaging abnormalities (ARIA)[1][3][4][5][7].
