ADP062-ABC is an investigational small interfering RNA (siRNA) therapeutic being developed by Alector in collaboration with GSK for the treatment of Parkinson's disease and potentially other synucleinopathies such as Lewy body dementia. The therapeutic is designed to reduce the expression of alpha-synuclein (α-Syn), a protein that forms pathological aggregates in the brains of patients with these disorders. To overcome the challenge of the blood-brain barrier (BBB), ADP062-ABC utilizes the proprietary Alector Brain Carrier (ABC) technology, which is engineered to enhance the delivery of the siRNA into the central nervous system. By lowering α-Syn levels through RNA interference, the drug aims to slow or halt disease progression. As of late 2025, the program remains in the research stage of development.
