Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ADS-02 is an investigational cell therapy product developed by AdipoSeeds for systemic platelet transfusion. The therapy utilizes platelet-like cells (PLCs) generated from a proprietary adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cell line (ASCL). This ASCL-PLC technology enables the large-scale, donor-independent production of functional platelets, addressing the critical shortage and logistical challenges associated with blood-banked donor platelets. ADS-02 is intended to mimic the physiological hemostatic and pro-coagulant functions of natural platelets. It is currently in preclinical development for the treatment of thrombocytopenia and other conditions requiring systemic platelet replacement.
