Overview

The adsorbed acellular diphtheria, tetanus, and acellular pertussis, inactivated poliovirus, and Haemophilus influenzae type b combined vaccine (DTaP-IPV-Hib) is a pentavalent combination vaccine under development by Beijing Minhai Biotechnology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Shenzhen Kangtai Biological Products. This biologic product is composed of multiple active antigenic components: diphtheria and tetanus toxoids, acellular pertussis antigens, inactivated poliovirus (types 1, 2, and 3), and Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib) conjugate. It is designed to simultaneously prevent five major infectious diseases in infants and young children: diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis (whooping cough), poliomyelitis, and invasive Hib infections. The vaccine is currently being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials in China to assess its safety and immunogenicity.
