The adsorbed acellular diphtheria-pertussis-tetanus + Haemophilus influenzae type b combination vaccine (DTaP/Hib) is an investigational biologic being developed by the Yunnan Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention in China. This combination vaccine is designed to provide active immunization against four major pediatric diseases: pertussis (whooping cough), diphtheria, tetanus, and Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib) infection. The formulation consists of acellular pertussis antigens (including pertussis toxoid and filamentous hemagglutinin), diphtheria toxoid, and tetanus toxoid, all adsorbed onto an aluminum adjuvant, combined with a Hib conjugate component (polyribosyl-ribitol-phosphate, PRP). It is currently being evaluated in a Phase I clinical trial in China to assess safety and preliminary immunogenicity in healthy participants, including infants as young as 3 months old.
