Overview

The adsorbed acellular diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis combined vaccine is a trivalent combination vaccine (DTaP) developed by Changchun BCHT Biotechnology. It is designed to stimulate active immunity against pertussis (whooping cough), diphtheria, and tetanus. The vaccine is formulated with three-component acellular pertussis antigens, diphtheria toxoid, and tetanus toxoid, adsorbed onto an aluminum hydroxide adjuvant (specifically, a nano-aluminum adjuvant). It is administered intramuscularly. The vaccine has been evaluated in clinical trials in China, including a Phase I trial in healthy infants and children, and has progressed to Phase III development.
