Overview

The adsorbed acellular DTaP combined vaccine developed by Changchun BCHT Biotechnology is a three-component vaccine designed to prevent diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis in infants. It contains purified diphtheria toxoid, tetanus toxoid, and three acellular pertussis antigens—pertussis toxoid (PT), filamentous hemagglutinin (FHA), and pertactin (PRN)—adsorbed onto an aluminum hydroxide adjuvant. By presenting these antigens to the immune system, the vaccine stimulates the production of specific antibodies and immunological memory against *Corynebacterium diphtheriae*, *Clostridium tetani*, and *Bordetella pertussis*. As of 2025, the vaccine is undergoing Phase III clinical evaluation in China to assess its safety and immunogenicity in infants starting at two months of age.
