ADV100

ADV100 is a small molecule therapeutic candidate developed by Advaite, a biotechnology company originating from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). The drug is a repurposed anticoagulant that, when utilized at very low doses, demonstrates significant anti-inflammatory and anti-fibrotic activity on the ocular surface. It is primarily being developed to treat ocular surface diseases associated with tear deficiency, including ocular graft-versus-host disease (oGVHD), Stevens-Johnson syndrome, Sjogren's syndrome, and chronic dry eye disease. ADV100 aims to mitigate the inflammatory damage and fibrosis that lead to severe ocular morbidity in these conditions. The drug was developed based on research by Sandeep Jain at UIC and is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
