Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Advanced - Soothe the liver and regulate qi Decoction is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formula developed by Xi'an Traditional Medicine Hospital for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B (CHB). It is specifically formulated to address the TCM syndrome of 'liver depression and qi stagnation.' As a complex botanical decoction, it consists of a mixture of herbs intended to harmonize liver function and improve the flow of qi. In clinical trials, such as NCT03018821, it is referred to as the 'Advanced Chinese Medicine Formula' (Advanced CMF) and is evaluated in combination with standard antiviral agents like entecavir or tenofovir. The therapy aims to alleviate TCM-related symptoms, such as hypochondriac pain and jaundice, and may help in delaying the progression of hepatic fibrosis.
