Overview

AdVince is a modified recombinant adenovirus, an oncolytic virus, engineered to selectively target and kill neuroendocrine tumor cells. It replicates within tumor cells, causing them to burst and release new viruses and substances that activate the immune system against the tumor. Its selectivity for neuroendocrine cells is due to the control by a chromogranin A promoter, and it includes a microRNA target sequence (miR122) to prevent replication in healthy liver cells. It is primarily indicated for metastatic neuroendocrine tumors, especially those with liver metastases, and is administered via hepatic artery injection.
