Adwin Plus

Adwin Plus is an oral combination drug developed and marketed by Thrift Pharmaceuticals. It contains two active ingredients: paracetamol (acetaminophen), a widely used analgesic and antipyretic, and domperidone, a dopamine receptor antagonist that acts as an antiemetic and prokinetic agent. This combination is formulated as oral tablets and a paediatric oral suspension, and is typically used to treat pain and fever accompanied by nausea or vomiting. Paracetamol works by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis in the central nervous system to alleviate pain and reduce fever, while domperidone blocks peripheral dopamine receptors in the chemoreceptor trigger zone and gastrointestinal tract to prevent nausea and vomiting and facilitate gastric emptying.
