ADX-103

ADX-103 is a novel small molecule drug developed by Aldeyra Therapeutics. It acts as an aldehyde sequestering agent (aldehyde trap) and functions primarily as a reactive aldehyde species (RASP) inhibitor. The drug is being investigated for the treatment of retinal diseases and other eye disorders, including dry eye syndrome, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and ocular inflammation. By inhibiting or sequestering toxic aldehydes implicated in pathological inflammation and tissue damage, ADX-103 aims to reduce retinal edema and inflammation. Preclinical studies have demonstrated its efficacy in animal models of diabetic macular edema[1][3][7].
