ADXS-Survivin

ADXS-Survivin is a veterinary immunotherapy based on the *Listeria monocytogenes* (Lm)-LLO platform, originally developed by Advaxis and licensed to Aratana Therapeutics for animal health applications. The therapy consists of live-attenuated *Listeria* bacteria engineered to express and secrete a fusion protein comprising a truncated listeriolysin O (LLO) and the tumor-associated antigen survivin. By utilizing the natural ability of *Listeria* to infect antigen-presenting cells and escape the phagosome, the platform triggers a robust innate and adaptive immune response, specifically activating cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLs) against cells overexpressing survivin. Survivin is a member of the inhibitor of apoptosis (IAP) family and is highly expressed in various malignancies but absent in most normal adult tissues, making it an ideal target for cancer immunotherapy. ADXS-Survivin is primarily being developed for the treatment of canine and feline lymphoma.
