Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Adybrex is a branded generic formulation of celecoxib developed and marketed by the Tunisian pharmaceutical company Adwya. It is a selective cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) inhibitor indicated for the acute and chronic treatment of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and acute musculoskeletal pain, as well as for managing acute post-operative pain. By selectively targeting COX-2, Adybrex inhibits prostaglandin synthesis to provide anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects while minimizing the gastrointestinal risks typically associated with non-selective nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) that also inhibit COX-1.
