Overview

Adze-1.17.C is a preclinical-stage oncolytic immunotherapy developed by Adze Biotechnology for the treatment of neoplasms, including glandular and epithelial tumors. It is part of the Adze-1.17 platform, which utilizes a conditionally replicative oncolytic virus designed for both systemic and intra-tumoral delivery of immune-stimulatory transgenes and checkpoint inhibitors to solid tumors[1][2][3][6]. The mechanism involves direct selective virus-mediated killing of tumor cells, leading to the release of tumor-derived antigens that modify the tumor microenvironment (TME) to promote a strong systemic anti-tumor immune response[6]. Specific targets include inhibition of CD46 (membrane cofactor protein) and stimulation of DSG2 (desmoglein 2), aiming to enhance viral entry into cancer cells and modulate immune activity[2]. The platform is intended for use alone or in combination with other cancer therapies.
