Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**AER800** is Aerium Therapeutics' preclinical, long-acting anti-SARS-CoV-2 monoclonal-antibody combination comprising **AER003** and **AER004**. The two antibodies bind complementary regions of the receptor-binding domain of the SARS-CoV-2 spike glycoprotein, collectively covering nearly all of the angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 binding site and neutralizing viral entry. It was being developed as a prophylactic and potential therapeutic option for COVID-19 in immunocompromised people, including against variants carrying the F456L spike mutation. Aerium subsequently ceased operations, and no AER800-specific clinical trial, regulatory approval, manufacturer, or formal asset-discontinuation announcement was identified.
