AeroCyte-expanded CAR-T cells are an investigational cell therapy product generated using a proprietary biomimetic phospholipid microbubble platform (AeroCyte). This platform functions as artificial antigen-presenting cells (aAPCs), specifically the AeroCyte-J328 variant coated with anti-CD3 and anti-CD28 ligands, to provide juxtacrine stimulation for T cells. This manufacturing process enables massive ex vivo expansion (up to 10^16-fold) while preserving a stem-like phenotype, which is intended to improve in vivo persistence and efficacy against both liquid and solid tumors. Preclinical studies have demonstrated target-specific cytotoxicity for CAR-T cells targeting CD19, GD2, and HLA-A2. The technology is being developed to make CAR-T therapies more accessible and to support repeated dosing strategies.
