Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Aerofor is a branded generic inhalation therapy containing formoterol, a long-acting beta-2 adrenergic receptor agonist (LABA). It is manufactured by Teriak, a pharmaceutical company based in Tunisia. The drug is indicated for the maintenance treatment of asthma and the management of airflow obstruction in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). By selectively stimulating beta-2 adrenergic receptors in the lungs, Aerofor promotes bronchodilation through the relaxation of bronchial smooth muscle, providing long-lasting relief from respiratory symptoms. It is typically administered via a metered-dose inhaler or similar inhalation device.
