Aeronide

Aeronide is an inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) containing the active ingredient budesonide, developed and marketed by the Tunisian pharmaceutical company Teriak. As a synthetic glucocorticoid, it functions by binding to glucocorticoid receptors in the airway, leading to a reduction in inflammation and hyperresponsiveness. It is primarily indicated for the maintenance treatment of obstructive airway diseases, including asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), as well as allergic rhinitis. Aeronide is available in various inhalation formulations, such as dry powder inhalers (DPI) and pressurized metered-dose inhalers (pMDI), typically in strengths of 100 and 200 micrograms.
