Overview

Afalaza is an over-the-counter medicinal product indicated for the early treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and associated lower urinary tract symptoms in men. It consists of released-active forms of affinity-purified polyclonal antibodies to prostate-specific antigen (PSA) and endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS). The mechanism of action involves modulation of PSA and eNOS activity through conformational changes induced by these antibodies, leading to enhanced regulatory effects on metabolic and functional processes in the prostate, stimulation of nitric oxide production, improved circulation homeostasis, reduced inflammation, decreased oxidative stress, reduction in prostate volume, improvement in erectile function, and alleviation of dysuric symptoms. Clinical studies have demonstrated that a 12-month course is effective and safe for BPH management[1][2][3][4]. Developed and manufactured by Materia Medica.
