Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is a combination of four EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) used in the treatment of EGFR-mutant non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The combination includes first-generation (erlotinib, gefitinib), second-generation (afatinib), and third-generation (osimertinib) EGFR-TKIs. This preemptive combination approach aims to overcome resistance mechanisms that develop during treatment with single agents. Research suggests that combinations of these TKIs may dramatically increase progression-free survival (PFS) compared to monotherapy by targeting different resistance mechanisms simultaneously.
