AFFITOPE PD03A

**AFFITOPE PD03A** is an investigational active immunotherapy vaccine developed by AFFiRiS for synucleinopathies, including early Parkinson's disease and multiple system atrophy. It contains a synthetic 10-amino-acid peptide antigen designed to mimic a C-terminal epitope of alpha-synuclein; the peptide is conjugated to keyhole limpet hemocyanin and formulated with aluminum hydroxide adjuvant. Subcutaneous vaccination is intended to induce a sustained, boostable, alpha-synuclein-reactive IgG response directed at pathological oligomeric alpha-synuclein, with the goal of limiting its propagation and associated neurodegeneration.
