Overview

AFP403 is an **alpha-fetoprotein–derived peptide** containing a human leukocyte antigen (HLA)-A24–restricted cytotoxic T lymphocyte epitope from tumor antigens expressed in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). It is designed to stimulate cytotoxic T-cell responses against HCC cells. Preclinical and clinical studies, including phase I safety and efficacy trials, demonstrated that AFP403, combined with AFP357, was safe and induced tumor control in a subset of patients. AFP403 is administered subcutaneously as part of immunotherapy protocols targeting HCC, especially in patients with HLA-A24 alleles[1].
