Overview
**Ag-D-CIK + FOLFOX** is a combination therapy used experimentally in oncology, particularly for colorectal and possibly other gastrointestinal cancers. It consists of Ag-D-CIK, a cell therapy involving activated dendritic cells and cytokine-induced killer cells (CIK), which are immunotherapy modalities thought to stimulate anti-tumor immune responses, combined with **FOLFOX**, a standard chemotherapy regimen composed of folinic acid (leucovorin), fluorouracil (5-FU), and oxaliplatin. FOLFOX works by disrupting DNA synthesis and function in rapidly dividing cells, whereas Ag-D-CIK immunologically targets tumor cells, enhancing cytotoxicity beyond chemotherapy alone[1][2][3][4].
