Overview

AG1001 is a human adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cell (hAD-MSC) injection developed by Beijing Aige Stem Cell Technology. It is designed for the treatment of systemic sclerosis (SSc), a chronic autoimmune disease characterized by skin and internal organ fibrosis. Mesenchymal stem cells are known for their immunomodulatory and anti-fibrotic properties, which help in reducing inflammation and promoting tissue repair. AG1001 received clinical trial implied approval from the China NMPA in June 2023 and has completed Phase I clinical trials. A Phase II study is scheduled to initiate in the second quarter of 2025.
