AG1002 is an investigational stem cell therapy developed by Beijing Aige Stem Cell Technology (also known as Aegle Stem Cell Technology) for the treatment of localized scleroderma, also referred to as focal scleroderma. The therapy received clinical trial implied approval (IND approval) from the Chinese National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) in December 2023. A Phase Ia clinical trial is projected to commence in the third quarter of 2025. AG1002 is designed to leverage the regenerative and immunomodulatory potential of stem cells to address the localized skin hardening and underlying fibrosis characteristic of the condition.
