Agarikon.1 and Agarikon Plus are medicinal mushroom extract preparations developed by Myko San, containing a complex mixture of polysaccharides and polyphenols derived from various mushroom species. These preparations are primarily investigated for their therapeutic potential in advanced metastatic colorectal cancer. Their mechanism of action is multi-faceted, involving the enhancement of M1 macrophage polarization, inhibition of M2 and tumor-associated macrophage (TAM) polarization, and modulation of T helper cell cytokine profiles.
