AGB 10

AGB 10 is a recombinant protein subunit vaccine developed by Laboratorio Pablo Cassará for the prevention of Hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection. It contains 10 mcg of the Hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) per dose, which is produced using recombinant DNA technology in yeast cells (*Saccharomyces cerevisiae*). The vaccine is specifically formulated for pediatric and adolescent use. Upon administration, it induces the production of neutralizing antibodies against HBsAg, providing active immunity against all known subtypes of HBV. It is typically administered via intramuscular injection and is part of standard immunization schedules to prevent liver disease and hepatocellular carcinoma associated with chronic HBV infection.
