Overview

AGEM-103 is a preclinical-stage cell therapy being developed by AGeM Bio for the treatment of solid tumors. The therapeutic platform utilizes Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSCs) that are engineered using a proprietary non-viral gene delivery system. MSCs are selected for their natural tumor-homing capabilities (tropism), which allow them to migrate specifically to tumor sites and the surrounding microenvironment. Once localized within the tumor, these engineered MSCs serve as biological factories to produce and secrete therapeutic payloads designed to exert anti-tumor activity. By using non-viral engineering, the developer aims to improve the safety profile and manufacturing scalability compared to traditional viral vector-based cell therapies. The specific therapeutic cargo or molecular target for AGEM-103 has not been publicly disclosed.
