Overview

AGM-130 is a peptide-based Cyclin-dependent kinase (CDK) inhibitor developed by Anygen, currently in Phase 1 clinical development for the treatment of Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC). As a peptide therapeutic, AGM-130 is designed to target and inhibit the activity of CDKs, which are essential regulators of the cell cycle that are frequently dysregulated in aggressive cancers like TNBC. By blocking these kinases, the drug aims to induce cell cycle arrest and inhibit the proliferation of malignant cells. This modality represents a shift from traditional small-molecule CDK inhibitors, potentially offering different binding characteristics or specificity profiles within the CDK family.
