Overview

AGMB-101 is a full cMET (MET) receptor agonist monoclonal antibody developed as a Hepatocyte Growth Factor (HGF)-mimetic. It is designed to activate the MET receptor, thereby mimicking the regenerative and anti-fibrotic effects of HGF. The drug aims to promote tissue regeneration and resolve fibrosis by stimulating cellular proliferation, survival, motility, and differentiation through the HGF/MET pathway. Preclinical studies have demonstrated its potential in accelerating liver regeneration, reducing hepatic fibrosis, suppressing pro-fibrotic and pro-inflammatory gene expression, and improving overall organ function in animal models. AGMB-101 is being developed primarily for fibrotic diseases such as fibrostenosing Crohn’s disease but may have broader applications across inflammatory and fibrotic disorders due to its tissue-agnostic mechanism[1][2][3][4][6][7].
