AGN-223575 vehicle

AGN-223575 vehicle is the placebo control formulation used in clinical trials for AGN-223575, an investigational ophthalmic suspension developed by Allergan (now AbbVie) for the treatment of dry eye disease. The vehicle is designed to be identical to the active drug product in its inactive components but lacks the active pharmaceutical ingredient. It was used in Phase 1 and Phase 2 clinical studies to provide a baseline for evaluating the safety, tolerability, and efficacy of various doses of AGN-223575. Development of the AGN-223575 program was discontinued by Allergan in 2016 following the completion of Phase 2 trials.
