Overview
**AGN-CognI.Q** is an oral dietary-supplement product based on a proprietary alcoholic extract of *Angelica gigas* Nakai root, made with the INM-176 ingredient and marketed as Cogni.Q by Quality of Life Laboratories. The extract contains the pyranocoumarins decursin and decursinol angelate, which are metabolized hepatically to decursinol. It is being clinically evaluated by Penn State investigators as a potential intervention to delay progression or therapeutic escalation in prostate cancer patients with biochemical recurrence or rising prostate-specific antigen after local therapy. Its anticancer mechanism has not been clinically established and no single validated molecular target has been assigned. A completed phase 1 single-ascending-dose study characterized safety and pharmacokinetics, while a phase 1/2 study of AGN-INM176 is ongoing in prostate cancer.
