Overview

AGN301-P is a radiopharmaceutical candidate consisting of a ligand targeting Fibroblast Activation Protein (FAP) labeled with the alpha-emitting radioisotope Lead-212 ([212Pb]). Developed by West China Hospital of Sichuan University, it is designed for the treatment of various advanced solid tumors. FAP is highly expressed on cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) within the tumor microenvironment of most epithelial cancers, making it a versatile target for radioligand therapy. The use of Lead-212 allows for the delivery of high-energy alpha particles with a short range, causing potent DNA damage to FAP-expressing stromal cells and neighboring tumor cells while minimizing exposure to healthy tissues. The agent is currently undergoing exploratory clinical evaluation to assess its safety, pharmacokinetics, and therapeutic potential in patients with metastatic or unresectable solid tumors who have failed standard treatments.
