Overview

Agrippal is an inactivated influenza vaccine containing surface antigens (haemagglutinin and neuraminidase) of influenza virus types A and B. It works by causing the body to produce antibodies against the influenza virus strains contained in the vaccine. The vaccine is reformulated annually to match the prevalent strains for each flu season. Protection typically develops within 2-3 weeks after vaccination and lasts for approximately 12 months.
