Drug intelligence / Profile preview
AGT-100XXX is a selective histone deacetylase 6 (HDAC6) inhibitor being developed by Augustine Therapeutics. It is a small molecule designed with a novel non-hydroxamate, non-hydrazide producing chemotype to selectively inhibit the catalytic activity of HDAC6 while preserving its non-catalytic functions. By inhibiting HDAC6, the drug aims to restore microtubule stability and axonal transport, which are impaired in various neuromuscular and cardiometabolic conditions. The program is currently in development for multiple indications, including Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD), Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease (CMT), Chemotherapy-Induced Peripheral Neuropathy (CIPN), Heart Failure with Preserved Ejection Fraction (HFpEF), and Atrial Fibrillation.
