Agyster is a digestive enzyme combination product developed and marketed by Aganit Pharma. It contains fungal diastase and papain, which serve as exogenous enzymes to facilitate the breakdown of complex nutrients in the gastrointestinal tract. Fungal diastase, an amylolytic enzyme derived from *Aspergillus oryzae*, assists in the digestion of carbohydrates by converting starch into simpler sugars like maltose. Papain, a proteolytic enzyme extracted from the fruit of the papaya (*Carica papaya*), aids in the digestion of proteins by cleaving peptide bonds.
